Last week, we talked about why Troop Deals exists—to help military, veterans, and families save money on everyday purchases. This week, we’re breaking down exactly how to use the app to start saving (and earning rewards!) today! 💸

• Create an account & set up your profile (Hint: Profile completion earns you points! 🎖️)

🔹 Step 2: Find Military Discounts Near You

• Open the app & use the map to find businesses that offer discounts. 🗺️

• ***There may not be any listed near you? If not, jump to Step 3

• Search by category (restaurants, retail, automotive, etc.).

• Tap on a business to see its discount details, ratings, & reviews! ⭐

🔹 Step 3: Add & Share Discounts (The Most Important Step!)

• If you ask for a discount and get a YES—LIST IT! 🚀

• Simply click “Add a Business”, on the Home Screen of the app. Its the + button lower right.  fill in the details, and share it with the community!

• More listings = More savings for everyone! 🔥

💰 The Struggle Was Real: My Personal Experience

I can personally relate to this meme because my best friend and I joined the Marines together, and two of our classmates followed soon after. Like many young service members, we weren’t exactly financial experts.

Every payday, the cycle was the same:
➡️ Skip the free chow hall and eat out instead 🍔💸
➡️ Hit the bars in Jacksonville, N.C. and spend whatever was left 🍻
➡️ Run out of money before the next paycheck 😬
➡️ Pawn off our stuff just to make it through… and then buy it all back on payday 🤦‍♂️

Needless to say… our money management skills needed some serious work! 😂
